About The Band
A Static Lullaby (ASL) is a post-hardcore band from Chino Hills, California. The band formed in 2001 with Joe Brown (vocals), Dan Arnold (guitar), Nathan Lindeman (guitar), Phil Pirrone (bass) and Brett Dinovo (drums). Whilst still in their teens the band found themselves already on stage and performing just 2 weeks after forming. ASL recorded their first song 'Withered' in September 2001 followed by two more songs, "A Sip of Wine Chased With Cyanide" and "A Song for a Broken Heart which they released as demos. The band continued on to release their first EP "Withered" in 2002. In the summer of 2002 ASL signed to Ferret Records and released their debut album "...And Don't Forget To Breathe" in 2003 followed by extensive touring.

ASL signed with Columbia Records in 2004 and started work on their next album with producer Lou Giordano. They then went on to release their second album "Faso Latido" in 2005 receiving mixed reviews. Although the album showed a new form of experimentation within the hard-core genre/environment, it fell short of the world of major record labels expectations. Tension began to arise in the band and the members began to re-evaluate their lives. Creative differences saw Bassist Phil Pirrone leave the band going on to create his own record label, Longhair Illuminati and form a new band called "Casket Salesmen" taking guitarist Nathan Lindeman with him. Drummer Brett Divono left the band to return to school.

The best move for the ASL was in 2006 when they signed with Fearless Records. They found musicians John Martinez (Guitar), Dane Poppin (Bass) and Jarrod Alexander (Drums) and recorded their third album, self-titled "A Static Lullaby" released in October 2006, debuting at No.172 on the Billboard Top 200. The album showed a return to ASL's roots and the aggressive style they were known for. Joe Brown attributed the success of ASL after losing half it's members to the help of Fearless Records stating "Fearless has been a great support system enabling us to get back on our feet through some trying times." The band parted ways with guitarist John Matinez, while a new dummer, Tyler Mahurin replaced Jarrod Alexander. The 5 guitar position was left unfilled, Dane Poppin, stating "we are currently much better off and comfortable as a four piece."

September 2008 brught the release of their fourth album, 'Rattlesnake!". With dark angry lyrics inspired by the tough divorce of vocalist Joe Brown, the album displays furious hard-core style with just the right amount of melody making it a well put together fierce yet clean sound that comes from the more experienced and well produced bands. The band finished the year on tour with Alesana, Greeley Estates, Motionless in White, and Jamie's Elsewhere. They will be doing a few shows in Mexico early February this year.

Genre: Experimental

Label: Epitaph

About The Band
I Set My Friends On Fire (often abbreviated as ISMFOF by both fans and the band itself) is an American electronic influenced post-hardcore duo formed in 2007 by Matt Mihana (vocals, lyrics) and Nabil Moo (vocals, guitars, percussion, programming, and all other instruments). The duo has released one album, You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter on Epitaph Records. The duo was also featured in a video created by famous YouTube duo Smosh, entitled Sex Ed Rocks.

The duo first made themselves known on MySpace, where their rendition of Soulja Boy Tell 'Em's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" (originally entitled "Crank That Calvary Boy") received more than one million plays. Nonetheless, the duo's MySpace page was removed three times because MySpace had assumed that the duo were using software to increase the number of plays.

They then signed to Epitaph Records, who released their debut album You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter on October 7, Matthew Hadley of the Brock Press, however, gave the album a more favorable review, calling it "a genuine release from a genre-bending duo trying to create something new and fresh in an increasingly tiring genre." In a positive review, John Lucas of the Georgia Straight said that while the album "seems designed to test the listener's tolerance", but that "those willing to embrace a noisy, ambitious, self-indulgent, and downright weird record will find a lot to love".

About The Band
Attack Attack! signed to Rise Records in 2008 and released their debut album, Someday Came Suddenly, on the label late that year. Someday Came Suddenly peaked at #25 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and #193 on the Billboard 200, with sales of more than 3,600 in its first week. For Fearless Records' eighth Punk Goes... CD, Punk Goes Pop 2, Attack Attack! covered Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl". The band toured with Escape the Fate, William Control, and Burn Halo early in 2009, and will be appearing on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour.

While they place emphasis on screams, they also employ some clean vocals that always make use of the auto-tune effect. One of their major distinguishing characteristics is the high musical contrast between hardcore and pop parts within their songs.

Emery

Origin: Rock Hill, South Carolina, U.S

Genre: Post-hardcore, Alternative rock

Label: Tooth & Nail Records

Website: www.emerymusic.com

About The Band
Emery is a post-hardcore band from Rock Hill, South Carolina currently based in Seattle, Washington. Emery formed in 2001 in Rock Hill, South Carolina but moved to Seattle, Washington in search of a better musical environment. The band was named after a first grader that Toby Morrell met while working as an intern for a teacher in college. The four members in the band at the time, Toby Morrell (Vocals, and Guitars), Devin Shelton (Drums), Matt Carter ( Guitar, and Keyboards), and Joel "Chopper" Green (Bass) actually left Rock Hill, South Carolina for Seattle on September 11, the day of the terrorist attacks; they found out about the attacks when they stopped at a local diner in South Carolina. Most of the members are from the bands Sachul, Joe 747, Simply Wayne's and Oogie Brown. After a little while Seth Studley broke out of a serious relationship, and went to Seattle and became their new drummer. Since Seth became the new drummer, Devin went ahead and took in the position of guitarist.

After making Emerald City their new home in Seattle, Washingon, Emery signed a record deal with Tooth & Nail Records in 2002. Wasting no time, Emery paired up with producer/engineer Ed Rose and worked on their debut album, The Weak's End. It was produced at the Black Lodge Studio in Eudora, Kansas. The record was released on January 2004 by Tooth & Nail. Emery toured extensively to promote their new release afterwards.

While touring, Seth Studley decided to leave the band in order to get married and Emery had to look for a new drummer. While touring with Haste the Day, Dave Powell was brought out to audition. Powell was officially put in the band on November 2005. Powell originally played in the Indianapolis-based metalcore/hardcore band The Bowels of Judas.

Soon after touring, Emery went back into the studio to record their next record with production done by Aaron Sprinkle this time around. The band took five weeks in recording sessions. The Question was released on August 2, 2005. Its first single was Studying Politics and the video was released on June 29, 2007. On November 21, 2006, Emery decided to re-release The Question, including five acoustic versions of previously recorded songs and two new demo tracks, which were produced by Matt Carter, and a DVD. The DVD included a documentary film of Emery, live songs and some bonus footage.

Soon afterwards, Joel "Chopper" Green decided to leave the band and move on to other things. On September 19, 2006, Emery posted a blog on their website giving reasons to why Joel Green was leaving the band. Devin and Toby now switch bass parts in concerts and in the studio.

While touring with Underoath in Australia, Emery announced that they were releasing a new album. On July 29, 2007, they released "The Party Song," on their MySpace which was followed by "Rock-N-Rule" on August 16. They released "After the Devil Beats His Wife" on September 17, and "Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus" on September 24, 2007. The album was leaked onto the internet before its official release. I'm Only A Man was officially released on October 2, 2007 by Tooth & Nail Records. I'm Only A Man was produced by Ryan Boesch and Matt Carter and it was all recorded at Dark Horse Studio in Tennesse. The album got mixed reviews for its change in musical style. Emery decided to experiment with more synthesizers in their record and focused more on vocal parts and less on the screaming vocal parts. Emery also released a deluxe edition to the album which was released on the same day. The deluxe edition featured four acoustic songs that were recorded while on the Take Action Tour with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The iTunes version of the deluxe edition also brought a bonus track called "Whoa! Man".

Emery announced in an interview on TVU that they finished a new 8-song EP entitled While Broken Hearts Prevail, was released on October 28, 2008. They began premiering some of the new material while on tour opening for The Almost, including a song entitled "Edge Of The World." According to the band, the EP will draw on their older sound as opposed to the style implemented on 2007's I'm Only A Man.

In an interview with Toby Morrell, Emery has announced that they are releasing a new album called In Shallow Seas We Sail. Up until the announcement of Emery resigning to Tooth & Nail Records, it was unsure if the band would release the new album through T&N since their contract had expired. The band later re-signed to Tooth & Nail.

In August 2008, Emery played their first tour ever in South America, where they announced that that the songs in the EP would also be in a new album, that will come out June 2009. Their most recently recorded material, has come out of Great Western Record Recorders in Tolono, IL. The head engineer of the studio is Matt Talbot, Former lead man of the band Hum.

On April 7th, 2009, Emery released a new song entitled "Cutthroat Collapse" on their Myspace, Purevolume, and iTunes. The song is the first song on their new album ...In Shallow Seas We Sail, Set to release June 2nd, 2009. On May 29th, 2009, Emery put ...In Shallow Seas We Sail in its entirety up on their Myspace. On June 1st, 2009 Emery removed a large portion of these songs again but still accessible if clicked on the album. On June 2nd, 2009, Emery released ...In Shallow Seas We Sail. Emery also confirmed during a chat thread on AbsolutePunk that their first music video off of ...In Shallow Seas We Sail was going to be for the song Cutthroat Collapse. It's said to be shot during the month of July 2009.

Emery has performed at the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois and Spirit West Coast's "Rock the Park" festival in Chino, California. They were also in The Bamboozle Festival from April 29-May 1, 2005 in New Jersey. Along with such festivals, they have performed on the Vans Warped Tour lineup while being featured in the Warped Tour documentary, Wake Up Screaming. They also performed in Hot Topic's Sub City Take Action! 2007 tour along with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Static Lullaby, and Kaddisfly, which began in February 2007 and played in forty cities across the U.S. Emery will also take part in 2009's Give It A Name Tour alongside bands like Taking Back Sunday, Underoath and InnerPartySystem.

Emery's 2004 for music video for "Disguising Mistakes With Goodbyes" was directed by up and coming music video director Djay Brawner at two sold out shows in Anaheim, California. Emery headlined their first tour, entitled the Grab Your Guns Tour, from September 13, 2005 to November 5, 2005. The other bands on the tour included He Is Legend, Gatsby's American Dream, Gym Class Heroes, and As Cities Burn. In the spring of 2006, Emery co-headlined the Tooth and Nail Tour with their labelmates Anberlin. In May 2006, they supported Story of the Year on their Australian headline tour, then spent the summer of 2006 on the Vans Warped Tour. In late 2006, Emery participated in the Nintendo Fusion Tour with Hawthorne Heights, Relient K, Plain White T's, and The Sleeping. Starting in January 2008, Emery headlined a cross-country tour with Mayday Parade, As Cities Burn, Pierce The Veil and Cry of the afflicted, playing new material off their third studio album released in October of the previous year. In early 2009 Emery appeared at the Australian Soundwave Festival in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Starting May 30, 2009, Emery will be touring with various artists on various dates such as Kandi Coded, Revolution Mother, The Bled, A Static Lullaby, and Closure in Moscow on the Zumiez Couch Tour 2009. On June 2, 2009, the band will hold a CD release show at the FYE in Nashville, TN for the release of "...In Shallow Seas We Sail", following a show at Rocketown in Nashville, TN along with The Almost playing acoustic, music producer Aaron Sprinkle, The Becoming and Kiros, with all proceeds going to Invisible Children Inc. After playing the Denver date of Warped Tour 2007, 3OH!3 signed on for all venues of Warped Tour 2008. Their song "Punkbitch" is featured on the Warped Tour 2008 Tour Compilation. The band has also played at national festivals such as Bamboozle Left. 3OH!3 commonly use skits and costumes during their live concerts and are known for their energetic shows.

The band then headlined the 2009 Alternative Press Tour across the U.S. with Family Force 5, The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon, and Hit The Lights. The band performed in Panama City Beach, Florida for MtvU's Spring Break in March 2009.

3OH!3 will again join the Warped Tour in 2009. 3OH!3 also played at EndFest in Sacramento CA with such acts as Lady Gaga, Flo Rida, The White Tie Affair, and the All American Rejects. 3OH!3 will also be a part of Kiss Concert '09 (Kiss 108) at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, Kiss The Summer Hello 2009 @ Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo, NY, June 3rd 2009, along with Kevin Rudolf, The White Tie Affair, The Veronicas, The Ting Tings, & Elliott Yamin.

3OH!3 wrote an anthem for Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies. The music video was shot at the Ogden Theater in Denver and airs during broadcasts on FSN Rocky Mountain.

3OH!3's sophomore album on Photo Finish Records, Want, was released on July 8, 2008. It reached #44 on the Billboard 200. Their song "Don't Trust Me" became a hit in the U.S. in early 2009, peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Don't Trust Me" has been controversial, as some have accused the band of misogyny.

In 2008, "Don't Trust Me" was featured on two separate episodes of The Hills, and they performed "Don't Trust Me" on Last Call with Carson Daly on November 13.

Advertisements for the show Candy Girls use the song "Starstrukk". Starstrukk is an upbeat and hyped-up song that uses wolf-whistling to make a beat.

The band has done remixes of various songs from other artists, the most popular being "I'm Good, I'm Gone", which was originally by Swedish pop singer Lykke Li.

The music video for "Holler Til You Pass Out" takes place at Mesa Elementary and Fairview High School in Boulder.[citation needed] The music video for "Starstrukk" has been released on YouTube, the bands Myspace, Facebook, and several other networking sites. On 3OH!3's official Twitter, it has been announced that they are making a song with Lil Jon.

On Warped Tour 2009 and before, they have been playing a new song called "Hit It Again" which seems to be about wanting another chance with a girl because they messed up.

In July, 2009, 3OH!3 released a remix to their hit single "Don't Trust Me." The song features Kid Cudi and up and coming pop musician Mike Posner.

Mayday Parade

Origin: Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Genre: Alternative rock, emo, pop punk

Label: Atlantic

Website: www.myspace.com/maydayparade

About The Band
Mayday Parade is a rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. They formed when members of Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment converged in 2005. Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends was released in 2006 and sold over 20,000 copies without support. On July 10, 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics. In 2006 Mayday Parade signed to Fearless Records, the band is also signed to Atlantic Records as of 2009. Their second studio album will be released on October 6, 2009.

With an undecided name, the band went into the studio to record their first EP Tales Told by Dead Friends with producer Lee Dyess. During the week they spent recording in the studio, they decided on the name Mayday Parade. The band went on their first U.S. tour with Brandston and Mêlée, then on another tour with Plain White T's shortly after the release of the EP.

n January 2007, the band started to record their debut studio album, A Lesson in Romantics. In April, shortly after the album was completed, Jason Lancaster left the band for personal reasons. He would later go on to form the band Go Radio. On August 6, 2007, Lancaster posted a response regarding his departure from the band:

A lot of people keep asking about what happened with Mayday, and I still don't quite know what to tell them, other than we parted ways. I have to say that I was really upset about everything that was happening around me leaving the band, and I know that a lot of things were said on both parts that didn't really make a whole lot of sense. But in reality, I think everything came from the fear that I was about to lose 5 of my best friends...So for that all I can really say is I'm sorry guys...I hope that one day we can all be friends again and that you know I am leaving the door open for whenever you guys can bring yourselves through it again...I'm just waiting for you to say you still want it and that everything is cool.

The album was released on July 10, 2007. Mayday Parade supported their album on the 2007 Vans Warped Tour. The band made their first UK appearance in April 2008 performing at the Give it a Name festival in Sheffield and London. The band played the 2008 Vans Warped Tour and toured with All Time Low, The Maine, and Every Avenue in Fall 2008 on the Compromising of Integrity, Morality, and Principles in Exchange for Money tour.

The band began writing their new record in December 2008 and finished in-studio recording in June 2009. The new album, entitled "Anywhere But Here", will be released October 6, 2009. The title track, "Anywhere But Here", was posted on their MySpace on July 28, along with a blog explaining that the first single of the new album will be called "The Silence", and will be released on August 11, 2009. On July 30, a clip of "The Silence" was posted on the Friends or Enemies website. On August 4, "The Silence" was released on Mayday Parade's MySpace, and on iTunes. During an interview, Derek Sanders stated his favorite track off the new record is titled "Kids in Love", and expressed an interest in uploading it to their MySpace.
